After two top 3 finishes in two days Canada V, is flying up the standings. As of September 24 they have left group H behind and are looking to make a splash in group G. Alton Pflieger, Canada V's captain has come out and spoken to media on various occasions, praising his team while recognizing his own poor season. "My team is doing great. I wish that my opening season has been stronger, but guys Jye have really came up big,"
Jye Anasta was a mid-season addition, brought in to lead Pflieger over some strenuous climbs. Anasta managed to make a name for himself early on and after several first place finishes he appears to be a strong voice amongst his teammates. One of his teammates and friends James Springsteen has acknowledged Anasta's accomplishments. Springsteen himself had a weak and injury plagued season but, his poor racing has done nothing but increase his determination and respect for Anasta.
At lasts night's press conference James Springsteen said, "Jye is a great athlete and he is constantly pushing to do better. I hope if in future years I'll be able to measure up to his level of skill,"
Being the only non-Canadian on a Canadian team has posed some challenges, but after a number of unexpected victories he is beginning to earn the fans respect.
Grewp Piie came out and praised Anasta at last nights press conference, but his main point was to explain that it is a team effort. Piie said that he hopes Canada V will be able to perform at more competitive level from here on in. He also stated that Canada V's goal is to make the top divisions in upcoming seasons.
